Dr. Harman was one of the eye doctors in the country to be certified to perform CRT, a new method of vision correction. CRT uses devices worn on the eye while you sleep to gently reshape the curve of the cornea.
This reshaping has the same effect as surgical correction by refocusing the light entering the eye to the correct location on the retina for best vision.

Eliminate the Use of Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses without the Expense of Surgery
This new approach has none of the risks associated with surgery and in some cases, may achieve even better results.
“This procedure is especially promising because it can be used for patients who do not have a surgical option,” according to Dr. Harman.
“The procedure is non-invasive and completely reversible without discomfort and risk of complications.”
Unlike surgical options such as LASIK laser vision correction, this procedure is available to young people ages 12 and up.
“Young people showing signs of rapidly changing vision can use this procedure to restore good vision.
“Vision usually does change during these growing years. CRT works much like braces and retainers work to straighten teeth as the jaw grows.”
Dr. Harman believes that adults who are looking for freedom from glasses and contacts but do not want surgical options such as LASIK seem to be the most interested in this procedure.
“Today's busy lifestyles call for convenience. CRT offers a convenient vision correction option.”
The procedure uses a thin, oxygen-permeable, contact lens type of device that is worn on the eye overnight. In the morning, patients experience clear vision. Depending on the individual, the device can be worn as often as needed to provide the best vision results. Dr. Harman provides caeful monitoring of the treatment process and a fresh pair of devices every year.
